Today, I shall talk about the countless life lessons msK has taught us in such a short span of nine months.
Other than the English Coursework, she has taught us so many other valuble life lessons!
And being the wondeful model student, I am dedicating one whole post to her and her very Valuble Life Lessons.
Valuable Life Lesson 1: Never ever be late for class.
Nine months ago, people used to stream into her classroom slowly, especially if it was a lesson after recess/lunch.
But now, look!
Recess/lunch is barely over and the whole class is already obediently waiting for her outside the classroom.
And I mean, every single one. Even the ones who are usually always late for class.
Punctuality is very very important.
VLL 2: Never eat in class.
Things like chewing gum is strictly prohibited.
She never fails to catch at least 3 people eating chewing gum every lesson.
And she even does it with style! "(Insert person's name), to the bin please."
Thanks to her, we learn that any teacher should be respected, and we should never ever eat in class.
VLL 3: Homework is for our own benefit.
If we don't do them, she's even happier because that would mean she has lesser work to mark.
I have to agree that this is very effective form of reverse psychology.
The fact that she doesn't care whether we do them or not has a rather huge impact on making us do our work.
She has succesfully drilled into our heads that we should not be doing the homework for the sake of doing it, but instead for our own benefit.
VLL 4: Never talk when supposed to be doing work.
How can we ever do productive work if we're talking?
Time given in class should be used wisely, and not used for such mundane activities such as talking.
VLL 5: Never deprive other people of a place to sit by saving seats for all your friends.
It is selfish, and against the Public Moral Code.
How can we be so selfish?
How can we reserve so many empty seats, and make other people go to another classroom to borrow tables and chairs?
It is morally wrong.
The tables and chairs in the classroom are for everyone and everyone should have an equal right to them.
VLL 6: Be very quick and fast decision makers.
This lesson was put into effect on days like today, where we are given about 2 minutes to decide the topic that we want to do for our Triage Oral Presentation.
Having such a ridiculously short time to decide something that we would be stuck with for about a month or two seems rather impossible.
But ultimately, learning to make such crucial decision in such a short amount of time would surely prove to be beneficial in future.
If we were to ever find our house burning down, we would have to decide immediately who to save first and everything.
