just read the news.
apparently, the junta is finally letting all aid workers in.
yeah right.
who believe lor.
obviously, there must be some loophole around it.
it seems as if there's always a big hoo-ha about events in burma and everything, and in the end, what happens?
classic example, the "Saffron" revolution last year.
suddenly, there were thousand of monks marching on the streets and suddenly, it was big news.
it seemed as if something was finally going to happen.
but did it?
so yes, they shot them all down, and all the monks kinda just disappeared and the UN sent someone to talk, to negotiate with them and what happened?
not saying that they didn't try, but did anything happen?
no.
in the end, everything just sort of died down and nothing changed.
now again, the cyclone.
when it first happened, it was headline news.
many people rushed to donate and help seemed to pour in.
but what happened?
its already been 3 weeks, even IF they let all aid workers in and help finally reaches all the people in the delta, really, there would already have been initial suvivors of the cyclone itself, who have died.
from starvation. from diseases.
this time.
will the change that we have been waiting for for 40 years finally happen?
thank you all for donating to help.
cheryl even went for a flag day thing (?) to help raise funds.
really, thanks.
maybe, just maybe, help will finally arrive.
